This exhibition is a homage to Francesco Fioranti’s work.

A man who was a partisan, a defender of a beloved homeland, a true socialist, and a loving father.
Also, an expert and talented model maker.
Used to go to Trieste to get paper patterns and other supplies.
By hand, never in a rush, hour after hour, day after day, gesture after gesture, he constructed the exhibited models.
So beautiful.
I was always wondering what a model maker working on his model was thinking about. When hands work together with the head and the heart, and the mind doubles.
On one hand, there are hands and the attention to what is being done.
On the other hand, a whirlwind of freedom of thought and images. Some people prefer working with music, some prefer silence.
Yet, all those who work with their hands and attention, artists and artisans alike, get the same reward, a light heart and a clear mind.
Like a dream.
Like a captain standing on his ship beating the waves.
For beauty does not mean reaching the end of one’s work.
Beauty lies in the journey necessary to take it.
